Idaho that now requires ALL promoters of MMA to carry health insurance. As a promoter, the most important thing to us is the HEALTH AND SAFETY of the fighters. We have had over 1,200 fighters fight on a Knockout Promotions event. Not a single fighter has EVER NOT been covered by our insurance. Not one fighters insurance bill has ever NOT been paid by Knockout Promotions. As we all know, sometimes working with insurance companies is not the easiest thing to do in the world; and sometimes it takes a lot of phone calls and follow up by our staff to ensure all is taken care, and the process may take longer then we want, but in the end we make sure ALL fighters are always taken care of. Working hand-in-hand with the State of Idaho and Chris Hunt, we have really simplified the way we currently address insurance issues: 1. Insurance information and protocol is addresses and discussed at fighter weighins and all fighters sign a form that they have been briefed on what to do in case of an injury. 2. At the fighters meeting, on the night of the fight the same information is readdressed. 3. During the event, if an injury occurs, the attending doctor must sign off on the injury, and Sean Roberts gives the fighter our insurance number – then the fighter goes to the hospital. 4. After Dr. visit, fighter MUST submit information to insurance. Please note, insurance companies will NOT talk to Knockout employees ONLY the inured fighter. The following teams have had the most fighters on Knockout Promotions events, all of their fighters have ALWAYS been taken care of: Brandon Shuey Team Hardcore 440-5708 Mike Stephans 1 Corp 1 713-2589 Mitch Coates Alliance Jusitsu 919-8335 P.S. For what its worth, I’m sure most promoters can appreciate this, Knockout Promotions loses money on about half the fights it promotes, especially amateur fights Thank You, Kasey Thompson EW International 2123 N.
